Project description

This flagship medical fasting and longevity clinic represents Buchinger Wilhelmi's expansion into France, building on over 100 years of expertise in therapeutic fasting medicine. The facility combines the renowned Buchinger fasting method with cutting-edge preventive medicine, wellness offerings, and individualized care in an exclusive setting for an international clientele.

Proiectum Management & Planung served as technical project manager and client representative for Buchinger Wilhelmi, covering project phases 0 through to building permit application submission. Their scope encompassed technical project management, owner's representation, and product further development, including the development of a comprehensive sustainability concept spanning technical, architectural, and organizational dimensions. I supported Proiectum Management & Planung in delivering these services as a freelance consultant.

As part of this engagement, the team actively participated in all design coordination meetings with the international project group, including the architect Jean-Paul Gomis architecture (Nice), interior designer Matteo Thun (Milan) and all further project team members.

Key areas of focus included innovative concepts for sustainability integration, water management systems, and guest accessibility planning, as well as strategies for car-free zone implementation — encompassing alternative transportation solutions and parking concepts in support of the facility's wellness-focused, environmentally conscious approach.

Further contributions covered waste management protocols, comprehensive security concepts, and interior layout solutions designed to enhance both guest experience and operational efficiency, translating the core Buchinger philosophy of health, sustainability, and longevity into contemporary spatial design.

The project has achieved recognition as the first of its kind to receive the BDM Gold Standard (Bâtiment Durable Méditerranéen) sustainability certification, highlighting the successful integration of therapeutic interior environments with pioneering sustainable building practices in the Mediterranean region.
